Film Review: News of the World

I loved this film. Great acting from Tom Hanks as always, and the very impressive Helena Zengel.

Beautifully shot, this is a slice of Big Country, panoramic shots that fill the screen and the mind. I would have enjoyed it more in the cinema with a huge IMAX screen and booming sound, but that is nit-picking.

Ostensibly a western, but really an aching story of loss and redemption.
